I have elected to read 4 books:
X by Sue Grafton
After Her by Joyce Maynard
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
The Red House Mystery by A.A. Milne
The last two will also count as Classics.
And then I realized the Literary Wives read for October is a perfect fit!
The Silent Wife by A.S.A. Harrison
Our reviews of this will be posted on Monday, October 5th!
Here are past Literary Wives reviews!
I guess I'll be reading 5! :)

Which Peril(s) will you select?
This challenge sounds like fun! I would like to read more thriller/suspense. Maybe The Silent Wife would fall into this category.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious to hear about The Red House Mystery - I don't know anything beyond Milne's children's books.
Ha! Funny you should mention that. As soon as I had posted this this morning, it occurred to me that The Silent Wife was perfect for this. I will need to add it to my posting! :) (A good way to plug the Literary Wives discussion group, too! Big duh!)
DeleteRegarding the Milne, I am in the same boat as you. I just happened to pick this up very cheap at a Library Book Sale.
I enjoyed so much Rebecca, need now to read other books by the same author, I also want to read her recent biography by Rosnay
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting. I hadn't seen that she had written a biography. Unfortunately, I must wait until it is published in English, however... :(
DeleteI have just joined this challenge, as I heard about it very recently. Since I have two blogs, I am participating on one of them -- my literary fiction blog, MINDSPIRIT BOOK JOURNEYS. My other blog is dedicated to YA Fiction.
ReplyDeleteThe books you've selected look very intriguing. I am not familiar with some of them, but will certainly find out more. I see that one of your picks is "Rebecca". That's one of my favorite novels. If you've never read it before, you're in for a real treat!
I'm going to be checking out your reviews. Thanks for sharing!
P.S. I hate the horror genre, too! Lol.
