Top Ten Tuesday for December 15: Top Ten Books I Read in 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
I participate when a topic truly interests me...
Warning! I appear to have trouble stopping at TEN! :)
The following titles have already been listed in my post
Top Ten Tuesday for December 8: Favorite New-to-Me Authors First Read in 2015
(All books listed below with no link will appear on the page above.)

Actually, I discover in reviewing the above post, I inadvertently omitted
The Green Gables series by L.M. Montgomery (Duh!)
and
Golden Boy by Abigail Tarttelin

And those already listed on the previously mentioned post:
Growin' Up White by Dwight Ritter

Finding Jake by Brian Reardon

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

The Round House by Louise Erdrich

Jam on the Vine by LaShonda Katrice Barnett

Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson

The Rosie Project/The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion

The Black Hour/Little Pretty Things by Lori Rader-Day

The Al Capone series by Gennier Choldenko

All You Could Ask For by Mike Greenberg

However, I read some absolute favorites in 2015 that were not new-to-me authors!
In fact, the Steinbeck and Mitchell were rereads...

Go Tell It on the Mountain by James Baldwin

At the Water's Edge by Sara Gruen

X by Sue Grafton

The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck

Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
(Still savoring bit by bit in completion of the Read-Along!)

What are your favorites from 2015?
I had an excellent reading year!!
I hope it was the same for everyone!

  2. You have a few fantastic books on this list... everything I never told you amongst them. There are two highlights for me though: 1) I was going to read "Did you ever have a family" next and your recommendation confirms this choice :-) YEah! 2) So many new books to discover. Thanks! happy reading x

    1. Oh, Laura! I know what you mean about so many books to discover! :) I hope you enjoy Did You Ever Have a Family. It still is running through my mind at least once a day. Just an amazing story of connections, in my opinion!

    1. I found it powerful! I really want to read Giovanni's Room next of his... I own it so you would think it wouldn't be that difficult to pick it up and read it, wouldn't you? :)
